5,058 kg of paper saved: how we made circular impact in 2025

At Redopapers, everything we do is about reducing paper waste. Thanks to our circular business model — and our amazing customers — we made a significant impact in 2025.

In 2025, Redopapers rescued 5,058.5 kg of paper — roughly the weight of two adult hippos.

This allowed us to preserve the equivalent of 200 yoga mats’ worth of forest, save enough water for over 2,600 showers, avoid nearly 13,300 kg of CO₂ emissions, and give 411 m² of old banners a second life.

Protecting forests with circular paper

Producing new (or even recycled) paper requires a lot of wood. By focusing on reusing paper, we saved nearly 400 m² of forest from being cut down. Imagine 200 yoga mats’ worth of trees simply left standing! This is how we make a tangible contribution to forest and nature preservation.

Water savings through paper reuse

Did you know it takes roughly 25 liters of water to produce 1 kilo of new or recycled paper? Thanks to upcycling, Redopapers doesn’t need a traditional paper mill. All our products are made from test sheets, misprints, and other paper remnants that we rescue from printing companies.

Unlike new or recycled paper, our production doesn’t require any additional water. In 2025 alone, we saved 126,500 liters of water — enough for over 2,600 showers (that’s every day for more than 7 years!).

CO₂ savings through local and craft production

Sourcing, producing, and transporting paper generates significant CO₂ emissions. In fact, the global paper industry accounts for 7% of annual CO₂ emissions — nearly three times more than the aviation sector!

By using only leftover paper, focusing on local production, and working craft-based, we avoided nearly 13,300 kg of CO₂ in 2025. That’s equivalent to more than 8 years of daily driving. We may not be a global player, but this is emissions that we successfully prevented.

And part of that number also comes from reusing plastic banners ....

Linde selecting Redopapers covers made from banenr waste by Redopapers

From old banners to reusable covers

In 2025, we gave 411 m² of old banners a second life — almost the size of an entire basketball court — that didn’t end up in the incinerator. Because banner material can’t (yet) be recycled, we transform it into colorful, refillable covers. Thanks to our refill system, you can reuse your cover over and over for notebooks, agendas, or journals.

Thank you for contributing to circular impact

None of this would be possible without our amazing customers: paper lovers who shop in our webshop, the conscious companies who ordered circular & custom gifts, and our fantastic points of sale that believe in our mission.

a big THANK YOU

xx
