New collab: Axelle Vertommen x Redopapers

New collab: Axelle Vertommen x Redopapers

What if leftover paper took on a new shape? This summer brings a unique collaboration to life: designer Axelle Vertommen and Redopapers join forces to launch a circular desk organizer. The most beautiful paper scraps return to your desk—this time, in 3D.

The starting point: discarded cardboard

The design challenge was no small feat. For this collaboration, Redopapers wanted depth—quite literally. We encountered thicker leftovers from the cardboard industry, which couldn’t be used for notebooks, agendas, or tear-off planners. So we turned to furniture designer Axelle Vertommen, known for her focus on functionality, detail, and the contrast between color and material.

For Axelle, it was an entirely new way of working: "I’m used to starting from volumes. This time, I had to think from a single sheet of paper. The challenge was to transform that sheet—without complex production techniques—into an object with rhythm and function."

Modular desk organizer

The result is a desk organizer composed of six elements: a base tray and five foldable boxes. Each element clicks together intuitively, and all parts can be freely arranged within the tray. The design invites tactile interaction and brings more structure to your workspace.

The desk organizer and Redopapers’ stationery are made for each other. The dimensions of the modular boxes are carefully aligned with the sizes of Redopapers’ blocnotes and to-do lists.

A little more patience ...

Circular design isn’t something you rush. So just a little more patience: this unique set will be available on the Redopapers webshop after summer.
