Why Hanne keeps her school agenda strictly for work

Why Hanne keeps her school agenda strictly for work

Hanne works part-time as a care coordinator at a special needs school in Antwerp. Her paper school agenda is open on her desk every morning. No personal appointments. No home to-do's. The agenda is for work, and she keeps it that way.

One place for everything

It's there every morning. To-do lists tucked inside. Notes from phone calls. Sticky notes. Everything in one place. Her desk a lot less chaotic. Her memory basically lives in here.

She also uses a digital calendar, but only so colleagues can schedule meetings with her. The paper agenda is something else entirely.

"This is my real working document. Everything I need to remember ends up here."

Closing the week without forgetting a thing

Hanne maps out her Monday first. Underneath, she writes the to-do's for that day. She works part-time, so she uses colour to mark her working days.

Fixed items, like staff meetings, get one specific colour. They stand out immediately. Everything else gets filled in with a regular pen.

On Wednesday she closes her week. She writes down what carries over to the next. Everything collected in one place. She can physically let the week go.

Clean design

Sustainability plays a role, but that's not why Hanne keeps coming back to the Redopapers school agenda. She simply finds them beautiful. Calm design, smartly built. To-do lists running across all days, monthly overview in the back. And still enough room to make it her own.

"I love that you leave space for other things."

The new year moment

Every year, Hanne looks forward to the moment the new school agenda comes out. Markers ready. Coloured pencils out. Filling in holidays. Marking staff meetings. That's a moment she really goes all in for.

Afterwards, she lines up her old agendas neatly. Each cover represents a completed year. Something to cherish. And it's always exciting to pick a new sleeve, often in pastel shades that make her happy.

"I'm so glad the school agenda exists. It means I can keep buying Redopapers and it fits perfectly with the rhythm of my work."

For teachers in the classroom too

Hanne was in the classroom herself until recently. She's certain she would have used the Redopapers school agenda then too. Not to write out lessons in detail, but for the teaching approaches she was working on, daily to-do's, parent contacts and things to think through.

"I'd recommend it to anyone. It really clears your head."
